Can existing CIPD members apply?
If you're an existing member wanting to achieve Academic membership, please call us on +44 (0)20 8612 6208 to discuss your options.
To achieve Academic membership you’ll need to complete an application form showing how you meet the criteria for the level of Academic membership that you’re applying for. Your application will also require two references – one should be your line manager and the other should be an expert in your area of specialism(s).
If you’re applying to become an Academic Fellow you’ll also need to complete a telephone assessment. This will be conducted by an experienced membership assessor and will require you to provide more information about your career. Your telephone assessment will be arranged once we’ve received your application. You’ll receive a detailed feedback report with the outcome of your application – this will support your professional development
